I really wish people would understand what the real issue is before they oppose it.
YES. I saw the one on the left and got so pissed at the ignorance of it, I’m so happy I’m not the only one.
The problem with education in America is that it’s a business. College in most other countries is free or, if not, extremely cheap because it’s already payed for with taxes. Here in America, we use education as another way to take more money from the working class. I work two jobs as well and had a 4.0 GPA, and yet I’m still thousands of dollars in debt and a slave now to the banks with their loans. We, as Americans and tax payers, should equally have the ability to be schooled in what we wish to be schooled in. College should not be about whether or not you can afford it, it should be about whether or not you put in the work to get through it. I know far too many kids with their college payed for by their parents that are here by the skin of their teeth and never go to class. If college was free (or cheaper), it would be geared more towards getting kids in who were good at their craft and hard working rather than getting the rich kids who’s parents can pay more.
